Psalm 30.
I have been struggling with some things lately.
My heart is really aching in a way I've never wanted and always tried to avoid.
Which causes me to feel so foolish.
Which makes my heart ache more.
It's a vicious cycle.
My focus is has been off for so very long.
The lack of focus has made it hard to refocus.
Last night I made myself pick up my Bible.
It was harder than I could explain to you.
My years in Bloomfield really did something to me in regards to wanting to read the Word.
Even after a full year of being doused with blessings I struggle with this aspect of my relationship with Him most of all.
Which affects all other areas.
I had no idea what to read.
I decided a Psalm is always a good place to go when you don't know where else to go.
I chose Psalm 30 because I'm 30.
Such a me thing to do, I suppose.
It is perfect.
I just needed to share.
1 I will exalt you, O LORD,
for you lifted me out of the depths
and did not let my enemies gloat over me.
2 O LORD my God, I called to you for help
and you healed me.
3 O LORD, you brought me up from the grave ;
you spared me from going down into the pit.
4 Sing to the LORD, you saints of his;
praise his holy name.
5 For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime;
weeping may remain for a night,
but rejoicing comes in the morning.
6 When I felt secure, I said,
"I will never be shaken."
7 O LORD, when you favored me,
you made my mountain stand firm;
but when you hid your face,
I was dismayed.
8 To you, O LORD, I called;
to the Lord I cried for mercy:
9 "What gain is there in my destruction,
in my going down into the pit?
Will the dust praise you?
Will it proclaim your faithfulness?
10 Hear, O LORD, and be merciful to me;
O LORD, be my help."
11 You turned my wailing into dancing;
you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,
12 that my heart may sing to you and not be silent.
O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever.

Nothing can beat the Psalms! They always speak to me and I'm glad your spirits are lifted :)
I love reading the Psalms because they really help me focus my prayer and quiet time.
I'm sorry I missed your call last night. I had a session meeting from 7-9:30 and I was wiped out when it was over.
that's interesting. I was just talking about that Psalm last night with Kunle. We were talking about how at times we need to pray boldly and believe God in the face of a supposedly "shut door" (which is really just satan trying to discourage us). I was reflecting specifically on verses 9-10. Anyhow, I couldn't remember which Psalm it was! Cool!
